Clinical Significance

Ulnar Nerve Compression

  • The second most frequent upper limb neuropathy caused by entrapped peripheral nerves is cubital tunnel syndrome. 
  • It is a significant source of pain and difficulty for the patient, and in severe situations, it could lead to hand loss of function.

  • Injury to the distal end of the ulnar nerve results in Guyon canal syndrome, a rather infrequent peripheral ulnar neuropathy.
